This year's republic day parade was very different from any other year's parades, Mainly because of the Covid-19 restrictions. The entire parade party was wearing masks, including the participants and the attendees.

The seating was restricted to a lesser number of people than in the previous years. History was made when Bhawana Kanth, the first lady Fighter Pilot was a part of the Flypast. The army contingent of Bangladesh led the parade, and the parade was concluded with a "Vertical Charlie" by a Rafale Fighter plane
