The Income Tax Department had raided 10 locations of Dheeraj Sahu located in Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal on 6 December.
Wahi, a pile of notes worth billions of rupees was found in the raid. There were reports that the note counting machines got tired and broke down while counting the notes. If notes were not found in the bags, they were filled in sacks. The shelves full of currency notes in the videos have been puzzling as to how does someone accumulate so much wealth?

Notes filled in 176 (chetar) bags were seized from Sahu's hideouts. It took 5 days to count these notes and 65 personnel completed the counting with 40 machines in 2 shifts. After counting, more than Rs 300 crore has been recovered.
